Not much is known about George M. Cahan. Born on May 24, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was an American producer and director, known for the Fifties movies "Willy," "The Silent Service" and "Boots And Saddles." He later became one of the top TV directors of the Sixties directing episodes of "The Unexpected," "The Cisco Kid," "Boston Blackie," "My Favorite Husband," "Gentle Ben," "Bewitched," "Gilligan's Island" and "The Brady Bunch." He died of a heart attack on June 12, 1991 in Los Angeles, California, survived by his children and wife of forty years, actress Alix Talton.
